Stacy Grossman

Stacy founded SGIP in 2014, and since that time has offered clients the knowledge and expertise of a big-firm attorney plus the passion of an entrepreneur, developed over more than two decades as a lawyer and businesswoman.

Before establishing her firm, Stacy was Vice President and Associate General Counsel at News Corporation, where she provided counsel to the New York Post, HarperCollins, Amplify Education, News America Marketing, The Daily, BSkyB, Sky Italia and other businesses. Prior to joining News Corporation, she was a principal in the New York office of Fish & Richardson, focusing on intellectual property litigation and transactional matters.

Stacy’s career started with a very dramatic trial, which was televised in February 1996. You can see a short and fun(ny) video about the trial, including the dramatic reading of the jury’s verdict, here!

Stacy received a BA in International Relations from Brown University, and a JD from Boston University School of Law. She’s an active member of several professional organizations, including the International Trademark Association (current member of the Development Committee). Stacy is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), and serves on the Boards of several organizations, including The American Friends of the Donmar and The American Friends of the Almeida Theatre.  She previously served on the Board of Women’s Media Group. Stacy is included in the 2018 – 2024 editions of the World Trademark Review 1000. (WTR is a directory that identifies leading trademark lawyers around the world.) She’s proud that in a recent publication, WTR wrote: “Stacy Jill Grossman comes warmly recommended. The prosecution and administrative litigation maven, who runs her own self-titled law office, picks up a tonne of referrals from premier firms, which speaks to her quality.”
